Next Meeting

Just a reminder that the next KRVSA member meeting is Sept 3, 2024, at Crooked Bass in Babson Park, eat at 6 – 7 meeting will begin. This month’s meeting is important as it is election time! We are taking nominations for our Leadership/Board. Your attendance is needed.

SwampStock 2024

We have some final details to share about Swamp Stock 2024. There will be raffles, food, and live music. We will have the Merchandise Trailer there with KRVSA merch and SwampStock shirts and hats. SwampStock will be held at Miles Point, from 10am to 5pm. This is a family friendly event and as always practice safe boating! During this event, please remember water levels are low and boat traffic will be heavy – use caution at all times.

Other News

• Don’t forget about Novembers ballot – 2nd Amendment of the right to hunt and fish. Get yourself educated and be sure to get out there and vote. Hunting a fishing is a privilege not a right in the state of Florida.
• Thank you for all of you that took the initiative to communicate your disapproval of the proposed Golf Course at the Johnathan Dickinson State Park – keep fighting for our natural untouched lands! Good job!
• Water levels on the Kissimmee Chain continue to be low and Gardner Marsh is still dry. Use caution if you decide to venture out there.
• Good luck to all that have been chosen for the 2024 State Gator Hunt this year. Be sure to share your pictures and we will be happy to share on our Facebook page. Send all photos to info@krvsa.com and include your name and the length of your gator.
